Landing in Dubrovnik
Welp, that's some deja vu.
After getting off the airport shuttle bus on the north end of town, we used Apple/Google maps to navigate to our hotel. What I didn't realize about Dubrovnik is that it's built on the side of a mountain, meaning all streets run north-south and any "streets" that run east-west are actually stairs. And navigation apps plan routes based on shortest (horizontal) distance. Therefore, map app = STAIRS.
We had planned to climb Mt. Srd after checking into the hotel, but after dragging our checked luggage up 21 flights of stone stairs, we decided to take the cable car.
