Welcome to

Haile's Whimsical World of Math !

Hi, I'm Haile.

I currently wear a lot of hats as an Assistant Professor, a Freshman Math Coordinator, a Mathematics Ph.D. Candidate, and a hobby artist! I teach math of all kinds at the university level, and my research interests include Discipline-Based Education Research (DBER) and Discrete Math.

What I've been doing lately

F24 - Sip & Learn 3 - Teacher-Student Interactions.pdf

The third STEM Instruction Sip & Learn meeting was Friday, October 18, 2024. 8 faculty members from the McNeese Department of Mathematical Sciences met to discuss enhancing student engagement through Teacher Discourse Moves.

My latest peer-reviewed conference proceeding, A Graph-Theoretic Analysis of Calculus Textbook Tasks, is out now!
